EQUESTRIAN
VILLAGE A Sanctuary of the holy Spirit

Equestrian Village was originally called “Courtland Farm” The name “Courtland” was given to the property by its original Owners, the Haynes Family who purchased the property in the early 1930s. Mr. Haynes was a prominent lawyer in the region. Mr. Haynes’ mother came up with the name Courtland because the property was where Mr. Haynes courted his wife. The family moved into the manor house full time in 1942. Mr. Haynes owned 1,000 acres of land which now consists of the Barclay Woods community, the equestrian farm, and other parcels along route 15.
In 2015, a 100-acres, lot 4A was purchased and the property was restored and owner-operated as a Bed & Breakfast and Equestrian boarding facility by the property owners.
In 2024, the property sustained a fire that severely damaged the historic Manor House.
On June 28, 2025, the property returned to its historical roots as a private residence and became a Sanctuary of
Worship, led by the Holy Spirit.
